We are very grateful to Sara and the team for the tuition and support they have given our son in preparation for the 11+ exam. We think that Phil and J were a good match. He gave him the tools he needed to be able to pass. We said from the start that we didn't want to make it a chore or push something that wasn't there. But J's regular sessions with Phil were ideal for him to stay motivated. He just did one mock test, but that helped to ease his nerves and give him an insight into what he would need to do on the day. The report you sent after allowed us to identify the areas to work on in the last couple of weeks. We used your free papers and paid for a couple of the extra question papers, the coding system was really helpful.

We continue to use Chatterton Tuition to help with revision and to top up any subjects the children feel they need extra help with. My son who is now in his GCSE year is doing both the maths and science group session and he actually is actually happy to do these classes as he knows the revision is spread out over the year rather than crammed in to the last few weeks. My thoughts are that every lesson could be one or two extra marks and this would add up to achieving one or two higher grades in his GCSE. I constantly recommend them to friends.

We contacted Chatterton Tuition quite late relative to when others start to prep for the 11+; April. I had a really great, productive conversation on the phone with Sara and took our daughter for an initial session to see if there was enough time to get her to the standard needed to pass. It went so well, from the off I got such a sense of comfort and assurance and even better; our daughter came away full of enthusiasm and energy. This mood never changed, every time I arrived to collect her she was happy and felt empowered and inspired. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience, Sara was available when we needed her and was accommodating with her approach to teaching, easily able to switch to remote sessions while we were on holiday during the summer. Practice papers were provided and areas of focus were given every week. Reflecting on our time working with Chatterton Tuition I think the biggest differentiator from how tuition of any kind is provided for children was how child centric Sara made it, the parents opinions were valued, of course, but the whole process was about the relationship fostered with our daughter, the feedback she gave in her own way to Sara and the conversations they had. This is what dictated the pace of learning and ultimately resulted in a successful outcome. I mentioned how our daughter came away brimming with confidence earlier, I also never had a moment through the whole process where I was in any doubt that she was in the very best hands; I have the utmost confidence in the style of teaching and their ability to achieve an outcome. Abi was first tutored by Sara towards the end of primary school when the 11+ was looming large so it was without hesitation that we turned to her again when Abi's confidence in Mathematics needed a boost. Sara tutored Abi on a 1:1 basis and kept the sessions fairly fluid depending on areas of need each fortnight. Abi's confidence grows palbably during periods of tuition with Sara and this is a testament to the way in which Chatterton tuition cares about helping the pupils in their charge. Abi has just been awarded GCSE Grade 8 for maths and 7 for further maths - it's really hard to see how we could recommend anyone other than Chatterton Tuition!
